Tourism generated nearly $1 billion in Virginia state tax revenues in 2019. VTC determined every locality’s ARPA Allocation based on how much each locality contributes to this $1 billion total. As a result, every locality’s share of the total award pool will be similar to the share that the locality contributes to Virginia tourism-generated tax revenue.
