Request for Proposal – Tourism Development Plan

The Virginia Tourism Corporation (VTC) has issued a Request for Proposal #VTC 18-156 to enter into an agreement with a qualified firm to prepare a Tourism Development Plan for the Commonwealth of Virginia in order to build capacity so that the VTC can better facilitate, guide, and support the economic success of the Virginia tourism industry and contribute to the quality of life of Virginia residents.  Sealed proposals are due not later than 4 p.m. EDT on August 8, 2018.  Full details are contained in the Request for Proposal.  A Mandatory pre-proposal conference/teleconference will be held at 10 a.m. EDT, July 23, 2018, and requires pre-registration by 4 p.m. EDT, July 19, 2018.  All parties interested in submitting a proposal are required to attend either in person or via teleconference.  Proposals will only be accepted from those Offerors who are represented at this pre-proposal conference/teleconference.  See details in the RFP for pre-registration instructions.

Please be sure to read the eVA registration requirements immediately as you are required to be eVA registered by the proposal due date in order to submit a proposal.  See Section X, Item V. in the RFP for details.

Also, points will be allotted during the evaluation process for Offerors who are certified by the Virginia Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity (VDSBSD) as a small business or to Offerors who submit a plan for subcontracting with Virginia Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity-certified small businesses during the contract.  See Section VI, B. 12. in the RFP.  All Offerors and proposed subcontractors must be certified by the proposal due date and time and complete the form required in the RFP in order to be awarded the available points.  Go to https://sbsd.virginia.gov/ to determine if you qualify for certification and to apply.

Should your firm be interested in submitting a proposal, the Request for Proposal #VTC 18-156 may be downloaded from the VTC website at https://vatc.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/TourismPlan2018RFP.pdf
