Doing Business with VTC – eVA – Electronic Virginia

The following is information that can assist you in doing business with the Commonwealth of Virginia

What is eVA?

eVA stands for Electronic Virginia and is an electronic marketplace for buyers and sellers.  It is the Virginia state electronic procurement system, and works via the internet.  All Virginia state agencies and many local governments use eVA to find vendors and place orders.  If you wish to do business with the state agencies, you will need to register with eVA.  To learn more and to register go to www.eva.virginia.gov.

What does it Cost to Register and Do Business through eVA?

There is no registration fee for either the Basic or Premium services and there is no annual renewal registration fee.  The only difference between Basic and Premium registration services is that Premium includes electronic notification of business opportunities that match the vendor’s registration commodities; Basic does not include this service.

There is, however, a fee for each transaction.  This fee and cap varies depending on the type of business. For new orders issued during the period July 1, 2013, thru June 30, 2014, eVA registered, DSBSD-Certified Small Businesses are invoiced 0.75% of the transaction cost, Capped at $500 per order.  eVA registered businesses that are NOT DSBSD-Certified Small Businesses are invoiced 0.75% of the transaction cost, capped at $1,500 per order.

For new orders issued July 1, 2014 or later, eVa registered, DSBSD-Certified Small Businesses will be invoiced 1%, capped at $500 per order.  eVA registered businesses that are not DSBSD-Certified Small Businesses will be invoiced 1%, capped at $1,500.
