Instructions for Adding Suggested Itineraries to Virginia.org

Adding your itineraries is easy with the online form in the Administration Tool.

The form provides a description field of up to 400 words, so there is plenty of room to add your themed itineraries that best represent the experiences in your region with your travel industry partners. These itineraries should be written in short paragraph form, without hour by hour timelines. Suggested itineraries should market your region’s best features and “drivers” that makes you unique. Click here for an example.

We will review the itineraries as we receive them and contact you if there are any questions or need further copy or edits. If you have questions or challenges with the website, please contact:

  • Stephanie Kenney, 804-545-5547, [email protected]
  • Robin Mamunes, 804-545-5545, [email protected]

Get started!

  • Go to the www.Virginia.org website, click on the bottom right, “Add/Update a Listing”

  • Title the listing the same as your itinerary. Select ‘Suggested Itinerary’ radio button. Fill in the address information for the contact for the itinerary. Click Next Step to continue
  • On the screen, “Suggested Itinerary”, select sub-categories in either ‘Single Day’or ‘Multi-Day’ (do not select subcategories in both). Be sure to check the box for “Group Tour Friendly” Click Next Step to continue.
  • Please add your description and tailor it to the length of the trip in an easy paragraph format. Your description may be up to 400 words in length.
  • Each itinerary should include the following:
    • Day Trips
Length – half day or full day
      Attractions to be visited
Lunch location if availableSee this Single Day itinerary as an example, Student Tour of Staunton,
