VTC markets the state of Virginia as a premiere destination to the group tour and travel industry through national, regional and professional tour and travel membership organizations and conventions, as posted on our Marketing Calendar. Attendance at these conventions offers the opportunity to meet one on one through prescheduled appointments with tour operators.
Trade show partnerships and lead reports
Lead Reports are prepared following each convention VTC attends and are made available to the Virginia travel industry to request for further development of group business. Notice of available Sales Leads are posted on this website and announced in our monthly Pulse of Virginia enewsletter throughout the year.
To showcase our Virginia travel products to the group industry, VTC solicits partnerships with Virginia members of the group tour trade associations and plans sponsorship opportunities at national and regional conventions. Check the monthly Pulse of Virginia enewsletter for opportunities and the marketing calendar for lists of shows VTC participates in. Let us help you promote your group friendly travel products. We need you to add your suggested itineraries, performance venues and services. Please help spread the word with your local partners to add listings for your region.
Add Your Suggested Itineraries to Virginia.org
Suggested Itineraries should include attractions, hotels and restaurants that are able to accommodate groups of 20 + people. The items mentioned in the itinerary should also be listed on virginia.org. These itineraries will be included on the Virginia.org/groups website to assist tour operators in planning a tour to Virginia. Itineraries should be single or multi-day and outline a suggested schedule rather than bullet points. See examples:
