Virginia Tourism partnered with Tourism Economics for a 2023 study on the Economic Impact and Future Outlook of Meetings and Conventions Tourism in Virginia and Future Outlook. The report analyzes the impact of the meetings sector going back to 2019 and provides a regional breakdown across four areas of the Commonwealth: Northern Virginia; Coastal Virginia, centered around Hampton Roads; Central and Southern Virginia; and Western Virginia, including the Roanoke region, Shenandoah Valley, and Southwestern region.

2024 Economic Impact of Motorcoach Group Travel in Virginia – a study by the American Bus Association
This study was conducted by Tourism Economics for the American Bus Association (ABA) and was not commissioned by Virginia Tourism Corporation. The report examines the economic impact of Motorcoach Group Travel in Virginia for 2024. For this analysis, motorcoach group travel refers to organized groups trips aboard motorcoaches including charter group tour and sightseeing activities, and the associated visitor spending.
