What is the VA250 Tourism Marketing Program?
The Virginia Tourism Corporation (VTC) applications are now closed for the VA250 Tourism Marketing Program. This program is a partnership between the VA250 Commission and Virginia Tourism Corporation and is designed to support, promote, and market programming, events, and interpretive signage related to quests for freedom against the backdrop of America’s 250th commemoration.
America’s 250th is a nationwide commemoration and Virginia communities are encouraged to begin planning and preparations for statewide commemorations in the coming years. Programs must support the mission of the VA250 Commission and drive visitation to Virginia destinations.
In the future, this program is tentatively slated to open twice per year in 2023, 2024, and 2025. Applicants may apply in future rounds even if they have made a prior application. However, program criteria may change as the VA250 Commission develops its commemoration plans.
