Visit Virginia in June to celebrate dads, music, history and the great outdoors.

Whatever Dad’s passion, you’ll create lasting memories at events such as the Father’s Day Fish-a-Rama in Northern Virginia, Warrenton’s Annual Fathers’ Day Car Show, the Southside Sky-Fest in Danville and the INDYCAR Series and USAC Open Wheel Weekend at Richmond International Raceway.

Music lovers will groove to the beat at the Virginia Blues & Jazz Festival in Warm Springs, Yorktown’s Shagging on the Riverwalk Beach Music Concert, the Chesapeake Bay’s Oldies Rock and Roll at Ingleside and the Wayne C. Henderson Music Festival and Guitar Competition in the Blue Ridge Highlands.

If you’re a history enthusiast, relive a significant event in African American heritage during Juneteenth Freedom and Heritage Celebration and during  Lynchburg’s Juneteenth celebration.  Join Captain Daniel Boone and his party in the Heart of Appalachia as they meet Cherokee Indians along the Wilderness Trail during the Siege at the Blockhouse. Have a swashbuckling good time with the notorious Edward Teach during the Blackbeard Pirate Festival.

Ecoenthusiasts can celebrate one of the most biodiverse rivers in the United States in the Heart of Appalachia during Clinch River Days, and delve into the Eastern Shore’s farming and fishing heritage at the Farm and Fish Expo

To learn more about these and other events such as the Cheesecake Bay Region’s American Indian Festival, the Parksley Spring Festival on Virginia’s Eastern Shore and the National Jousting Hall of Fame in the Shenandoah Valley, download the complete list.
