President's Notes

The Power of Partnership

VA-1, our statewide tourism conference, is quickly approaching. I invite you and your staff to join us in Roanoke, September 10 and 11 as we look at new initiatives to further strengthen and enhance tourism in Virginia.

VA-1 symbolizes a united industry, with all of us working in partnership to achieve the ultimate goal of “more people, staying longer and spending more money”. Our conference will outline key partnership and marketing opportunities that will help Virginia maximize resources and keep tourism strong, even in tough economic times.

Please take a minute to review the VA-1 agenda. New this year will be concurrent break-out sessions and a pre-conference session focusing on the power of electronic marketing strategies.

I look forward to seeing you in beautiful Roanoke for an exciting VA-1 Conference.
