Virginia Welcome Center Services
As gateways and “first-stop” destinations for Virginia travelers, Virginia Welcome Centers are invaluable resources for our industry partners. The VWCs offer many opportunities to our industry partners to promote events, attractions and destinations. Each VWC promotes and distributes information for Virginia as a whole, but each VWC also influences travelers within its region. - Demonstrations & Exhibits –
Showcase your destination, your organization or other tourism-related highlights and events through our Demonstrations & Exhibits program. It’s easy and there’s no charge. Just an opportunity to spend a day in a Virginia Welcome Center interacting with potential visitors and gaining valuable exposure for your organization and your area. Be creative - set up a booth, hand out coupons or promotional materials, serve refreshments, highlight local craftsman, almost anything can happen on exhibit day!

- Lodging Reservation Service –
An on-site and immediate reservation service that allows travelers to make room reservations when they visit a Virginia Welcome Center. This no-fee based service is just another way Virginia Welcome Centers enhance the visitor’s experience. We encourage lodging establishments to integrate with their regional VWC, host an exhibit and make their establishments visible in the center.
Lodging reservations were up 16% in 2007!

Impact visitors’ travel decisions by reaching your audience upon arrival to Virginia.
Our Travel Counselors assist more than 3 million Virginia visitors each year and
influence travelers as they begin their Virginia experience.Let us help market you by participating in our brochure placement program. After all,we can only promote you if we know about you.

- FAM
Educate us about you. Our Virginia Welcome Center staff promotes attractions, destinations and lodging establishments statewide. Help us gain firsthand knowledge of your organization by hosting a FAM tour for these invaluable resources. These FAM tours provide our staff with the extra details and personal experience that are crucial to knowledgeably promote your organization and assist Virginia visitors. - Be a VTC Partner
Get involved. Become an active participant on www.virginia.org and get your FREE listing. Ensure that your organization is represented to Virginia's potential travelers. 5 million unique visitors came to Virginia.org to view attractions, accommodations and events in 2007!
- Destination, Attraction & Lodging Listings
The Virginia.org web site (database) is the first source of information used by all travel counselors when assisting potential visitors and visitors. Whether accessed by a Virginia Welcome Center or the Consumer Services Center, www.virginia.org is the place they start. And don’t forget, this site is a primary trip planning tool for potential visitors. With 5 million visitors in 2007, be sure your organization is represented. The opportunities for your exposure are limitless!
- Events Listings
List your events, events in your locale or events in your region. These event listings are not only viewed by hundreds of thousands of potential visitors through Virginia.org, but they are highlighted each month on the VWC’s plasma screen adverts. Only events housed on Virginia.org are included on the plasma screen adverts. VTC can not be held liable for incorrect information or exclusion from any month’s plasma screen advert.
